Drain and Fill

The fluid pan is dropped, old fluid is drained, the transmission filter is replaced, and fresh fluid is added. This replaces roughly 40–50% of the total fluid in the system (fluid in the torque converter is not drained). This is appropriate for vehicles that are on a regular maintenance schedule.


Full Transmission Flush

Using a flush machine, the entire fluid volume — including the torque converter — is exchanged with fresh fluid. This replaces close to 100% of the old fluid. This is the preferred service for vehicles with high mileage, long service intervals, or fluid that shows signs of contamination.
